Second Flame Grills is an owner-operated Orange County restoration shop built on one idea: good grills deserve a second flame.
Quality work, one grill at a time.
I started Second Flame because too many good grills get replaced when they really need a proper cleaning, a few parts and some mechanical attention.
My background is in professional maintenance and mechanical equipment, so I approach grills the same way: inspect the equipment, understand what's actually failing, fix what makes sense and don't replace what doesn't need replacing.
I personally evaluate and service every grill that comes through Second Flame.
That also means I take on a limited number of projects. I'd rather restore a few grills properly than rush through a dozen.
Every job follows the same order. Evaluate the grill. Take it apart where it makes sense. Deep clean the grates, cookbox, firebox and grease system. Inspect the burners, ignition, hose and regulator condition. Fire it and watch the flame pattern and heat. Then document what I found, what I replaced and what I'd recommend next.
